Description of the Job Area Manager's Role

Responsible for the entire regional or group sales operations, the Marketplace Managers both perform the sales activities themselves and lead groups of buyers to achieve sales goals. This includes everything from setting goals to marketing to training and supporting teams to help them achieve those goals.

Utilizing excellent interpersonal skills, the Local Marketing Manager network to build new relationships with potential customers and track potential and current customers by phone, email and sometimes through regular visits.


Manage Sales Team


Sales Manager leads a sales team that can include Sales Manager. This includes a wide range of activities, including training sales staff, holding regular conference calls, reviewing team members' expense reports, training, motivating and supporting a sales team, and ensuring that employees achieve their sales goals.

They must be able to work independently and without little supervision, and sometimes have to work remotely.
